DAY EIGHT                               Tuesday, 26 December

Boxing day.  Everything is quiet.

Today we went to Eagle Beach and watched a group of locals play football.  There are a lot of palapas across from the construction of Oceanus and most were free.  That's our palapa in the second picture - the one with the chairs.  There were one or two other groups of visitors and three groups of locals.  Yet just down the way at La Cabana, the place looked like the Jersey Shore.

We had a terrific lunch in Saveneta at La Granja, stopped on the way home for cereal - Special K this time - soaked in the pool and had leftover pasta for dinner.

DAY NINE                     Wednesday,  27 December

Another Eagle Beach then pool day.  Here I am reading by the pool.  The sun was bright and I was using the bookmark as an eyeshade.  Didn't matter as we were the only ones there to see - except that hubby had his camera. Now you all see.

They ought to make wrap-around prescription sunglasses.  Really they should.

We had the remainder of the steak from Christmas, some plantain from LaGranja and some veg from the supermarket for dinner.

We're really getting the hang of the place now.  Of course, it's time to go home.
