DAY THREE                          Thursday, 21 December

After a breakfast of a horrible cereal called "Fitness" (one should have known) we headed up to Malmok for some beach time.

We found a free palapa and settled ourselves.  Anchored nearby were several  catamarans and the Jolly Pirates. Quite a few people were snorkeling.  The water was about 80 F and very clear.  There were schools of tiny silver fish swimming around us.

We watched a seagull and a pelican.  The pelican would dive for his fish.  As soon as he came up, the seagull would land on his back.  That happened over and over.  We concluded that the gull must be having her meal from whatever the pelican dropped.  The pelican, for his part, totally ignored the gull.

Soon the Jolly Pirates sounded her horn and the snorkelers climbed aboard.  There was a lot of action on the rope swing.  We enjoyed the aerial antics of the crew from our comfortable spot in the shade.

We had a late lunch at home and went out to the pool.  There were only two other people there, a little Dutch boy with impossibly blond hair and his dad (I guess).  The boy would stand on his dad's shoulders and dive in.  Then his dad would pick him up and toss him as high as he could.  Same the world over, that is.

Hank shot pics of  flowers and we both fell asleep in the lounge chairs.  Loads of fun, we are.

The tourist special at The Garden Restaurant (Mill Resort) was rib eye.  Mine was very good.  The soup, veggies and dessert were great.

We have always like The Garden and one imagines that under Marc's (AMBR) supervision it will only get better.

(We spoke to Marc at the AMBR bar.  He said he was going to continue the tourist specials though he may have to raise the price a bit..)
