Day Two - August 14, 2007 The CSI Experience The Museum of Science and Industry has an exhibit called The CSI Experience. Around this theme, Elderhostel has built an all day program. It is the reason we went to Chicago and it was well worth the trip.
The lecturers were terrific. The exhibit, which sounds excellent in
theory, suffers from a confusing layout and poor presentation (instructions are
not clear). We would rather have spent that time with the lecturers.

Det/Lt Kohne is an expert in the field of blood spatter. He gave a fascinating lecture. | |
| The lecture was followed by a demonstration. The 'walls' were soon covered with blood. |

Dr. Haskell's expertise is in forensic
entomology. He's the bug guy.
For some reason I became intrigued by coffin flies. I have also decided to donate my body to the body farm. Then, like Dr. Haskell, I'll be aiding science even after my death. |

| The museum has a lot of interesting things. It is worth another visit for sure. |

| Tuesday was penny steak day - you get the second
steak for a penny. I ordered a strip steak, which was very good.
Hank ordered the filet, which was barely passable. The star of the evening was dessert: a bread and butter pudding on a bed of creme anglaise. |
