Beach Smeach
Yesterday (beach day proposed) we awoke to a dense fog. It never burned off. We went for a bit of a drive and soaked ourselves in the pool a while (freezing upon exit) but we spent much of the day hoping for the sun to appear.
We ought to have left for The Big Easy as we had first planned - but the weatherman had promised a sunny day.
Who trains these weather people anyway?
We leave in an hour for New Orleans. I'm not sure what we expect to do there.
Luckily I've been reading Coelho's The Pilgrimage and using the work as a sort of grimoire. I have bought a scallop shell to wear. Perhaps it will serve to remind me that Ithaca is not the goal. The journey is the goal.

Around 3:30-4:00ish it looked like it might rain any minute but never happened. Oh well ... the best laid plans of mice and ......
Hope New Orleans turnes out to be fun -
